An answering machine somewhere in Germany. Norbert and Maria regularly use it to leave Tanja messages. The problem is, this isn’t Tanja’s answering machine! But Norbert and Maria are none the wiser. And with every new call they open a window into their little world. The actors of KurzFormChaos Improvisationstheater (Darmstadt/Germany) use this as an inspiration for a story about (long distance) relationships, talking past each other and about the quirks of asynchronous communication in an era where we are normally always available.
In the second part of this show Improcomedy meets Cabaret. ImproBerlin will take a look behind newspaper headlines to create funny and contemplative scenes from the daily press and tabloids. The audience decides on the content of the show by cutting headlines and phrases out of newspapers. Those cut-outs will inspire a unique and virtuosic program. Snappy, funny, up-to-date and without a plan. Because there are too many newsworthy things to keep quiet about them...
