We begin with an empty stage. Conjure a rich setting out of our imaginations, just as detailed as a theater set. Mix in characters that seem to have been there forever. And then, turn up the heat on the situation, until we have a creepy medical thriller, a passionate royal family drama, or a sharply drawn slice of life; a tale that will electrify you. That’s what you can expect from the Naked Stage.
Tonight we’ll dive deeply into undiscovered territory. A cast, without a script, weaving a full-length, three-act theatre play. The Naked Stage, originally developed by San Francisco improvised theatre-maker Tim Orr, combines the profound drama of scripted theatre with the excitement and freshness of improvisation. Once it begins, the actors will take a single character and hang onto them for the night, however tough it gets.
Come and see a tight, improvised chamber piece, with all the power of of Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage. The Naked Stage is performed here in Würzburg by the Dutch group Pictures of Percy.
