Venue Switch!
Attention, if you want to see the show "The Ferocious Four"! This show on Friday, 27th of October, will not take place at the Kulturbühne but in the theater ensemble!
Thos saturday, the 23rd of September, our festival volunteers will present a show directed by Inbal Lori from Israel. We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Advance ticket sale has started!
Yeah! The advance ticket sale has started! Our national and international guests present 9 shows in 7 different venues from the 26th to the 28th of October! You can purchase tickets online or in Würzburg at the Jugendkulturhaus Cairo, H2O, Kellerperle, Nähcafé Edeltraud, B-Hof, Zeychen&Wunder. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Start of the application process for the 16th Würzburger Improtheaterfestival
It begins! From today until May 17th you can apply for one of our four festival workshops. As usual, we will then put all the applications into a lottery to determine who will get a spot. We are keeping our fingers crossed for all of you!
We are excited to have Marko Mayerl and Matthieu Loos at our festival to teach their signature workshop "Slow“. And we are even more excited to be offering something entirely new with this workshop.
Interested in bringing a show format to the 16th Würzburger Improtheaterfestival? Applications are open from March 22nd until April 19th!
This year we again want to give you the possibility to present your ideas and improve formats at the festival. We’re excited about your submissions! The ones that will finally perform at the festival we offer a guaranteed spot in a festival workshop of your choice and free entrance to one festival show of your choice. And, of course, the chance to present your work to our Würzburg audience!

We’re happy to announce the workshop teachers of this year’s festival! We put together a variety of themes and workshops and we hope it will be inspiring to you! Also, all of our workshops will last 18 hours which will give you the chance to go deeper into each topic.
You wondering what we have in store for you at the 16th Würzburger Improtheaterfestival? It's time for some delicious revelations! Everything changes and so does the festival. Having put on a big and crazy anniversary extravaganza last year, we decided to go small and cosy in 2017. From Oct. 26th until 29th we will give you four workshops that will not only take 12 but 18 hours! We are super excited about an intense experience that will allow this year's participants to go deep into each workshop subject... Stay tuned for more details.
